A Race for the Books
Former vice president Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris have been projected to be the next torchbearers for the 2021-2024 term. Last Tuesday, Terrence Guy and Olivet’s Capitol Hill Gang hosted an election results watch party. Several members of LPS as well as the larger student body were also in attendance.
Although the American people did not receive a projection that very night, Capitol Hill Gang executives took care to explain the intricacies of the election process by explaining the purpose and history of the electoral college. It was rather neat to see 25-30 Olivetians from both political persuasions gather to enjoy our common interest in political science. As time moves forward, may we, as Christian citizens of the US, continue to engage with our society through law and politics so as to effectively testify to the true roots of our American order.
