During a special ceremony held at Olivet Nazarene University on April 21, the Center-sponsored Olivet mock trial team, known as the ONU Trial Tigers, were recognized for being Olivet’s inaugural mock trial team. Team captain, Sophomore Chesley Rowlett, surprised each member with individual plaques, plus one large plaque commemorating the ONU Trial Tigers’ founding team members of 2015-16. Following the ceremony, several members of the Center-Olivet Law and Politics Society who were on hand expressed interest in joining the Trial Tigers team for their competitions next school year. The team will receive the details of their mock civil case over the summer and will then begin preparing for competitions in the Fall of 2016 and Spring of 2017.

What a wonderful new tradition the Mock Trial will be for the Law and Politics Society in the future. Thanks to all these legal pioneers!! As a friend of the Center, we appreciate your efforts.
